Looking Out the Windows

This first window is the one in my computer room, it looks out over the back yard and into the woods. The stained glass pieces are an angel and a small cross given to me from my granddaughter.
This window is one of four that are in the first room as you come into the front of the house. The room use to be the front porch and was closed in before we bought the house. I use it for a reading room and a place to keep some of my favorite things. The stained glass is a ppurple iris, the sill is full of colbalt blue bottles.

This is the largest window in our living room
it looks out on the front yard. This is of course my favorite piece as it is the largest and fits in the top of the window so well it seems to be a part of it.

This is one of the two windows in our spare bedroom, it also looks out to the front of the house. It is one of the few that has no stained glass, however there is a clear cyrstal rosary that throws some beautiful rainbows when the sun is just right. So there you have a few windows which I noticed as I was taking pictures, ALL need to be washed, after all spring is just around the corner. If I do not get a bad case of SPRING FEVER I will need to get busy and SPRING CLEAN, or is that just an old fashion thing our mothers use to do?

Playing around on wash day

Sorry this picture is so dark, I think if you click on it you will be able to see it better. And yes that is a pile of dirty clothes!!! Boy am I glad my laundry room is at the other end of the room I do all my "fun stuff in".
Since we live in the country and curtains are not a must, I mostly have very little or nothing at my windows. I really enjoy looking out at the trees. I took a few more shots of some of my windows, and think I will show them all at the same time.
The last two pictures are of my shelves where I keep my supplies, and the table where I work on whatever it is that I am making at the time....right now it is BEADS. I LOVE MAKING BEADS. We are going to have some company in a few days so I guess I should clean this table off, put everything away so I will not be tempted to fulfill the passion to create a new color or style. The time seems to get away from me sitting at that table, almost as much as it does sitting here at the computer. So with that said I will stop now and go clean up the kitchen, after all we just had dinner about four hours ago. I'll bet you don't put off your work so you can play, Huh?

A Little Time To Share

I copied this picture from a magazine, there is nothing like a good friend to share your thoughts with, your hopes, dreams, the things that are dearest to your heart, I have a friend like this, unfortunately she is in California and I am in Florida. We keep in touch by snail mail, and of course on-line and on rare occasions the phone....and we are long overdue for one of those blessed times. So Janet, get you a cup of tea and get ready your phone could ring any moment. We have been friends for over 50 years, a friendship as lasting as that is hard to find, and I am very grateful and blessed. Hope you have someone in your life that is just as dear to you.
And this is what has been keeping me so busy, I just finished another one, no picture yet. I'm trying to get enough of these made to sell at a Garden Club event that I have been asked to participate in the first week-end of May.

Spring is just around the corner and I have plants shooting up from the earth, the birds are singing and I hear Mother Nature calling me to come out and play so it is hard for me to sit at the craft table and be able to look out the window and yet stay focused on making beads.........is it warm yet where you are?

Happy Valentines Day

I know I am a day early since Valentines day is Saturday but if I do not post now I may not get a chance to later. This is some of what I have been doing in the craft room. Also have been working on some beads, I have been invited to put up a table with a few of my things to sell at a Ladies Garden Club meeting. I'm so excited and want to have a variety of things to offer. I have a few more weeks to get ready.
I thought my van was all fixed and good to go, NOT, the A.C. is not cold and this morning I went to use my window wipers and guess what ? They did not come on..........so next Tuesday it's back to Gainesville to the Kia place, I hope they can get it right this time. It takes me an hour and a half to get there, thank God gas is still under $2.00. Well I have a little time to spare so I think I'll try to catch up on some blogs.....maybe see what others are making for their valentine. Find somebody you can be extra nice to on Sat.

What Do These 3 Things Have In Common?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
CAN YOU SAY MONEY????? This is a picture of my 2003 Kia Sedona, it has 76,000 miles on it and the a.c. died ! I took it in today and they said it would be about $800.00 to fix it BUT, that's not all, the belts all need to be replaced and since that is about a five hour job so with parts that will be another $400.00
All of this is before taxes !

This is our gas fireplace,it quit and my husband refuses to be without it sooooo, it cost $206.00
Must admit it is nice, it now has a thermostat so we just flip the switch. So now the house will be warm and the van will be cool.

This is the new welding hood my husband HAD to buy to do his job, to make the money, to pay for all the things that have broken!!!! It cost (with extra lens)
$237.00.......... Did I hear anything about another stimulus check or maybe we will win the Lotto! I told my son " I hope this is not a pattern we are setting for the year 2009" He said,
" Shucks it will be smooth sailing for the rest of the year, you've got all the bad stuff out of the way already" Hope he is right!
So is anyone else having a run on broken things or is it just me?
