2 Very Different

These two came to me at the same time, and of course I like the fairy girl best. I think these two might be the last of these for me for awhile as I want to try some with water color and some with oils, so we shall see what happens. Of course you can not see the vibrant colors on the one on the left or the stone in the left top corner. The one on the right was made with real wings. I found a dead butterfly in the yard and could not bear to see it just disintegrate. Now it will live forever on my ATC. I am a bit rushed in doing this post as I must fix hubby some dinner before I return to church for the evening service. Sunday nights have always been one of my favorite times as it is very informal. Lots of music, sometimes testimony, you just never know, it is not structured to say the least. So what do you think of my two very different girls?

Gail, you are so talented! I love the fairy girl too, and I can only imagine how much more detail there must be that I can't see. I was shocked when you said they were butterfly wings, how special. Keep sharing your talent with us, that is a blessing indeed!

My favorite is the one on the left. It's intriguing to me...I love the different textures and patterns. Really neat!I like the fairy girl too. I've always loved butterflies...they seem to be back in popularity now...a good thing I think.

The embellishments on the left one are really lovely. There is so much detail in that one as well. I think it's beautiful. The one on the right has such a delicate, tender quality to it. Perhaps that is due not only to the butterfly wings but the gentle look on her face.
Wonderful pieces...
